End of a Term

Writer's picture: Hannah GravesHannah Graves

It is the end of the term this week. I have finished teaching and now come two weeks of exams. I thought now wouod be a good time to share some high lights:

In studying oral genres of literature, I asked for volunteers to share folk songs, here is a sampling of songs from various tribes:

We also did skits of folk talee from around the world. I was really impressed by the creativity with costumes, especially the chalk dust for turning hair white!

All teachers are also involved in different clubs that meet Tuesday after class. I was assigned reluctantly to the Writers Club. It has turned out to be fun. We made posters for the library with motivational quotes and our planned project next term is to write and illustrate children stories, then to bind them (yeah for YouTube tutorials! SeaLemon has great videos on book binding).

So, one term down; two more to go!
